The BSEN1433 C250 SMC Composite Gully Grating is engineered for efficient surface water drainage in urban and road infrastructure. Manufactured from high-strength Sheet Moulding Compound (SMC), it meets the BSEN1433 C250 load standard (250KN) while offering superior hydraulic performance, corrosion resistance, and significantly reduced weight compared to traditional cast iron gratings.

With weights starting from just 6.5kg, it is exceptionally lightweight, simplifying transport, installation, and maintenance in compliance with Manual Handling Regulations.

It is significantly lighter. Our lightest model (PSB5401) weighs only 6.5kg, making it much easier and safer to handle, transport, and install than equivalent cast iron gratings, reducing labor time and costs.
2. Is the C250 load class suitable for road use?
Yes, the BSEN1433 C250 rating (250KN) is designed for medium-duty traffic and is commonly used for express roads, urban streets, and residential areas. For very heavy-duty applications like ports, we recommend our D400-grade products.
3. How slip-resistant is the surface, especially when wet?
Extremely slip-resistant. The grating features our proprietary anti-slip pattern, which achieves a Skid Resistance Value (SRV) of 89 in standardized tests—a rating classified as “Excellent” for safety in wet conditions.
